Found in most of the rivers and deep swampy waters of Asta, the Astan Crocodile is a mighty reptile with a long muscular body, heavy almost bony scales, and a broad jaw and snout. Most Astan crocodiles are a deep brown-green color though some have been found with bands of yellow, black, and red. Some crocodiles have developed curious scaly projections from their head and back to mimic the stumps of dead branches. Adult Astan crocodiles can reach 20 feet in length and are ready swimmers.

Special Abilities: Astan crocodiles can grab and drag or grab and roll (a Feat of Strength can be used to drag a target under water; target must use a FoS to break free or risk drowning; Crocodile must hold the target for a count of 10; if the count is not interrupted, the target is rendered unconscious underwater as per a Waylay; after five minutes, the target is dead and drowned)
