The High Academy has offered us an opportunity to shorten our travel to Eldun. I believe their offer to be more than generous.
A new Icuni Ruin has been located north of Darkwell. They would like for us to investigate the site before other powers move on it. In return the Academy offers to prepare a teleportation of our entire party directly to Marsul and a potential for other recompense depending on the success of our mission.
Travel by foot or ship would take a number of months. I believe that we could complete this mission in a month and, thereby, not only save us the dangers of land or sea travel but gain us a month if not more time.
The investigation of these ruins may also further our investigation of the Children. It is possible that these ruins are linked to the phenomena which we are experiencing and may provide valuable clues.
The Academy is extending an olive branch to the Wardens of Dawn. The preparation and casting of a teleport for our entire party comes at great expense, both financial and magical, to the Academy.
I strongly encourage us to take this offer, even if only for the opportunity to further the investigation against the Children and the coming of the Dark Seer.
