All party members have been having the same dreams. Whether you want to tell each other about them is up to you.
Common Dream 1
You are alone on a catwalk twenty feet above a room. You look forward and backward and see no end to it. The air has the slight smell of sour milk. On the floor below you are masses of hairless, naked bodies; each one of them is an ashen white. They have form but seem boneless as their bodies contort as if the skeletons were rubber. You hear them moaning. The sound isnt that of pain but rather sounds like years of lamentation being exercised. The light from the torches illuminated the room is not a normal fire of red orange and yellow. It is a dull, washed out yellow like the moon behind a thin cloud.
Ahead of you a figure materializes. It is a woman with red hair who is wearing a white robe adorned with trim and costume like the highest nobility. She looks at you with ice blue eyes. She stares right into you, never blinking.
She breaks a small smile and says, I see you standing there all alone. Do you know your compatriots are here with you? You will die the same way. Surrounded by people and yet all alone. So sad isnt it. Youve started on this journey. There is no going back and no end in sight. Only to eventually give up and fall into despair. Do you know, the boy thought he found a path out? He was so nave. There is no victory against me or my lord. Resign yourself to doom now. They say it is more peaceful that way.
The figure dematerializes. You hear a loud crack as the catwalk gives way.
You wake up.
Common Dream 2
You are standing in a large parlor room. It is decorated painstakingly. You can tell that no expense was spared. In the center of the room are two ice sculptures. One is of a man and one is of a woman. In a chair about five feet from you is a man in a dark robe. He appears to be in his late teens or early twenties. The man has deep black hair that falls to his jaw line. He is holding a gnarled wooden staff across his lap. It is a rich brown and is embossed with gold and silver script. He is silent and looking straight forward.
From another room enters a young woman, barely a teenager. She stands just over five foot. Her hair is short and red. It looks very disheveled. She is wearing a green gown that is drenched in blood. In her hand is a wicked looking knife that looks like a spade that has been elongated and serrated.
She walks over to the man and says, It is all done.
He looks at her and says, Your brother?
Yes.
Your sister?
Yes.
Are you ready to finish this lesson?
Yes.
He rises from his chair and hands her the staff. She walks up to the two ice sculptures and strikes each one. The blows shatter the sculptures. The man grabs the staff from the girl and escorts her outside. On the way out he looks at her and says, You must never hesitate to remove the people who are in your way.
She looks directly at you and says, I never will.
You wake up.
Common Dream 3
You are in the desert. The air is dry and stale. You see a wagon and men on horses coming your way. As they get closer you recognize them to be banner knights. However, the style of their clothing is not one you are familiar with. One knight is wearing blue, one green, one red, and one black. They stop near you. The men dismount and go to the back of the wagon. They pull out shovels and begin to dig into the sand. Day turns into night as they toil away. At nearly midnight they return to the wagon. They pull a large chest from the back of it. It is long and narrow. The odd thing is that it is hexagonal in shape. There is scrollwork and writing all over it. One sides looks as if it is made from obsidian. The men lower it into the earth. The knight in red starts chanting something indiscernible. When he is done the green knight starts. He is followed by the lord in blue and finally the ebony knight begins. His tone starts the same as the other three but soon starts to change. The earth under the other three knights gives way and swallows them up to their necks. He then speaks in a language which you can understand.
Deceivers! Traitors! False Knights! Minions of the enemy. Do you think that I am unaware of her ploy? That it was to be the blood of an untainted knight, my blood, to return the darkness. No, you cannot see through your greed and your powerlust. Fine then. Your right eyes are blinded by your own doings. I take your left so that you cannot see at all. You will be a blind soul trying to find your way through the mists. You are lost and I curse you to walk as lost souls. It is with my blood I make this bond and only with my blood can it be released.
A bright light fills your vision and when you regain your eyesight nothing is there except for the wagons, the horses, and three small round objects. You hear a whisper in the wind. It sounds like it is saying, Understand.
You wake up.
