Good day, I am Narehm Aridune, the youngest of two brothers from Ottath. Well not the city proper but a town outside its north gate. My father is a butcher and runs a well known shop near the gate entrance in the town square. Ah, but before I ramble on about my life let me get to the point. I am a mage. I have only one real interest and that is the magic dealing with water. If you do not know what my abilities can do then please ask for a demonstration, although I do not take responsibility for lost or damaged items. Well I guess it can wait till a more needed time. Well shall we be going? I am sure you will learn my worth in due time.

[OOC]
Born and raised in Ottath, Narehm is four years younger then his brother Izdain. His father Keldan was a well-established butcher and had a shop in the town square outside Ottaths north gate. Narehms mother spent most of her time helping run the counter in the shop. Being the younger brother he often found himself the target for his older brothers pranks. This made Narehm feel uncomfortable around the older children. Narehm spent most of his youth around the town square running errands for his father and talking with people coming and going from Ottath. He would often visit the local magic shop ran by an old magician. The old man enjoyed Narehms company and would even do small tricks to amuse young Narehm.

When Narehm was near the age of fifteen his brother received a job working for Ottaths town guard. He was impressed by the armor and weapons issued to Izdain. He wanted to try his hand at being a guard as well. Izdain tried to train Narehm about the basics in wielding a sword. This proved rather difficult for Narehm; he was only able to handle the smaller swords since the larger ones proved rather heavy. Galdian, the old man who ran the magic shop had seen Narehm struggle with his training and approached Narehm with an alternative. Galdian had grown fond of Narehm in the years he would visit and talk with him. Galdian offered to teach Narehm how to wield magic that would be useful when paired with Izdains sword. For the first time Narehm had something to focus on. He excelled at learning the magic and his power increase quickly. The first arche taught to Narehm was that of water. It was a simple start since the magic of this arche is simple and harmless to start. Narehm was overcome by the desire to increase his control over water, to shape it, call it, and wield it as a weapon.

Narehm began patrolling with Izdain, he learned how to use his magic to aid the guards in apprehending wrong doers. With Narehms help Izdain gained many honors and soon was asked to join the Guardians of the Shield. Izdain left Ottath to begin his training soon after Narehm reached the age of twenty. With little else to do Narehm set out to learn more about the magic he so loves. Galdian told him about several spells that exist in the arche of water and power that are lost to him, spells with great power that would aid Narehm even more. With this is mind Narehm set out looking for a way to travel around in search of these spells as well as make a profit off his skill and ability.
