Finally I will be writing this story the one you have all been waiting for, the story of Gorax.:lol (Anything in parenthesis is considered OOC information.)

Hello my name is Gorax Longtooth. I was born in the village of Higanir, in the province of Barag. I was born on the 21st day of Firstwinter 2278CE. I am a Barrakker which means I get angry alot. This is my story. (Cue the queen music"Here we are born to be kings we're the princes of the universe.:) Sorry couldn't resist.)
My father was Thorak Longtooth and he was the chieftain of the village of Higanir. He was a strong wise man who took care o the village well. He was also a Barrakker which is where I get my Barrakker gift from.
My mother was Shilendria Longtooth, a druid and member of the Circle originally from Hallow in Taus. She was the one that saved me from death when I was born. Being as how I was born on the day when the Path of Night has the most prevalence I was supposed to be killed but instead my mother protected me saying what harm can come of it. For it was prophesized at that time that since I was born on such a dark day I would end up killing those I was close to and only bad would come of it. I learned of this many years later when I overheard my father and mother talking about it ironically shortly before they were killed but I get ahead of myself.
Where was I? Oh yes, my father and mother both tauht me many different things and I was never wonting for their love. My father taught me and Borakor, my best friend and the son of our village shaman, Riversong how to fight with sword and with axe and shield. He taught me the finer points of leadership. He taught m to enjoy life because as he said" You never know how long you will be around so enjoy yourself while you are here. My father was a great man and there are times when I really miss him.
My mother on the other hand taught me about the more natural things in life. She taught me how to hunt and how to fish. She taught me how to survive in the wilds. She also taught me to be kind and respectful to both people and nature because as she said it is because of nature's bountiful harvest and the miracle that is nature that we continue to survive. My mother was graceful and beautiful. I miss her dearly.
My troubles started after Borakor and I went to wander the realm for our trial of manhood. Apparently, Riversong had long coveted the position of chieftain and he wasn't content to just stay the tribal shaman. While Borakor and I were gone he hired an assassin from the Masquerade or the Occusi, I'm not sure which to kill my father while he was out hunting.(It was actually a member of the Hand Macabre but no one knew that, not even Riversong.) It was shortly after Borakor and I got back that my father was murdered, shot in the back with a poison arrow while out hunting.
My mother and I were devstated as was the whole village. My father was a greatly respected man and it was vowed by the village council that they would find out who was responsible and punish them. Little did I know at the time that the cause of this was the head of the council himself Riversong. I was not to find out this bit of info until a short while later.
My mother actually overheard the assassin talking with Riversong about it. She confronted him about it and she got killed by him. but, before she died she told me that Riversong was responsible for the murder of my father and that he had attacked her when she confronted him.
I of course brouht this to the attention of the council but being as how Riversong was the head he of course denied everything saying I was trying to find a scapegoat for my parents murders. The council informed me tht being as how I had a gievance with him it could be settled in the pit with a trial by combat. I of cous accepted but Riversong had other plans.
He said that since he was way to old to beat me in physical combat he asked to choose a champion to fight in his place. He chose Borakor my best friend and his son as his champion. Because of this I asked for the contest to be until first blood instead of to death as was customary and was granted my request. THe stage was set for me to avenge my parents or so I thought.
As we entered the arena Borakor and I Riversong sat in his appointed chair looking at me and it looked like he was talking to himself. I paid him no mind as I tried to focus on the problem at hand , wounding my best friend without killing him. He faced me axe and shield in hand, a slight smile tugging at his lips. THen the master of ceremony broght his hand up then put it down signalling the start of he match. Borakor came runnin at me full tilt and I brought my shield up to block and as I did I heard Riversong yell my name and that was all I remembered.
When next I woke up I was in a holding cell in the jail. I ried to get ino about what had happened from the guard but he would say nothing to me. Later that day he came to get me for my trial as I was to find out.
Apparently, during the fight Borakor had managed to successfully hit me but after the match should have been over I continued to attack him in a rage until he went down. After that I passed out. The judge asked to hear my side of the story. So I told him I did not recall anything after the match started. "Why is that?" the judge asked. I was about to answer I didn't know when someone from the back of the room chimed up with "I know why" "Come forward sir" As he stepped forward I saw it was Hagar, one of my fathers friends and also a Barrakker. "The lad went into a berserker rage so he woul have no memory of his actions." I'm sure he wouldn't kill Borakor unles it was an accident. Borakor and he were the best of friends. Is this the truth Gorax?" It is sir I said. "Would you be willing to submit youself to a truth spell to ascertain this? Yes of course I would. After being subjected by the judge to a few questions he said he needed to think about it. When he came back his judgement was that rather then be put to death as was the regular punishment I would be banished from the village for the rest of my life.
After my banishment I wandered around for a while not really knowing what to do but I finally decided to stay with my Father's brother my Uncle Ragnar in Baagnir for a while. It was from him I learned the fine art of armor and weaponsmithing even though he said I was a better armorsmith then he was.
After this I took to wandering and it was during this time I came into the company of the Wardens of Dawn.
(Well, that's it folks the story of Gorax)
