The rules state:
--Arrows, thrown weapons, spellballs, spellrings, and spell hammers are missile weapons.
--Thrown weapons must be fully padded everywhere.
--Thrown weapons (throwing hammers, throwing axes, javelins) may be used as hand-held weapons.
and
--The only chain weapon allowed is the morning star or the chain mace. The morning star may strike to the head only on a down stroke and should never be used to strike the face or the sides of the head.
--Only missile weapons (except arrows) and the morning star are head legal weapons.
Here are some questions I have:
1) Can thrown weapons be constructed with solid cores, or must they be made entirely of foam?
2) Can thrown weapons be thrown at the face? It seems that it would be difficult to throw one in the arc described for morning stars. Or do you have to throw them at the back of the head?
3) I am supposing that throwable weapons used hand to hand are not 'head legal.' Is this correct?
