I have a few questions about Killing Strike and its effectiveness in the game.
The rules state:
"A Killing Strike bypasses armor and therefore does not affect the hit points of armor. For example, if the character has Killing Strike level four and makes a strike to the chain mail torso of a target, the target takes a Mortal hit but his or her armor does not lose any hit points from the Killing Strike. ...
Up to level seven, only normal armor and shields can be penetrated. If the target has points of Constitution or the spells such as Barkskin or Armor, then the Killing Strike damage is applied to such defenses. For example, a target wearing a Chain Mail torso with 2 points of Constitution is hit by a level four Killing Strike in the Torso; the Mortal hit gets through the armor but is applied to the Constitution. "
I have noticed that many of our opponents in the game have extra 'hit points' to simulate being more difficult to kill. When I was a zombie, Ed told me that my extra hits were like constitution. This made it easy to follow. Would these extra hits be considered 'constitution' for purposes of the Killing Strike skill? If this is the case, the skill becomes very costly and not very useful. I also dont necessarily think it makes sense.
For example, in the last adventure, the enemy knight had extra hits, some of which probably represented armor that the player wasnt wearing. If this were the case, that the enemy was considered armored, it seems that Killing Strike that effects normal armor should work against it.
If, on the other hand, NPC's mostly have constitution you would need to have a boatload of levels in Killing Strike to make it worth having...level 8 or so.
Or is it too complicated to say that some of the enemy hits are armor and others are constitution?
Just wondering about the implications, since it is an expensive skill.

Also, the rules state that:
"A Killing Strike may be made only for one strike with the weapon per target per combat. If the player misses or is blocked, then the Killing Strike is ruined for that target in that combat. The player must call "KILLING STRIKE!" plus the level when using this skill. "
Does this have to be the first strike with the weapon in the combat, or can you save it up for a later opportunity in the same fight? I understand that you only get one per opponent.
Thanks for any clarification.
