Hey. I just had a couple questions...
1. Bracing: If someone has a long weapon or even a dagger braced against their arm to strengthen their block and the strike hits the weapon but not them, is that still a hit? (barring arrows of course)
2. Strength and Impact (counting hits): This isn't a tapping game, understood, but what is the minimum recognized strength hit in the game? Is it something solid, or simply strikes and is stopped by the target, or do you actually have to get a pretty good wack on the guy?
3. New ideas: I just wanted to know if I could propose a single new, simple weapon, just to get it out of my system (and if it does pass, yay!). Everyone comes into a LARP with their own ideas, and wanted to make my own done and over with quickly.
Double Bar/Shortsword/DoubleShortstaves (all basically same thing). Exotic Light weapon. Is three to four feet long with a grip in the middle, often dual wielded with stabbing tips. Never used to lean on (no weapons ever should be but still). Favored by more militant dextrous classes (rangers, military bards, etc.).
4. Also what is the ruling on double sided weapons? I see a quarterstaff and was curious how things have been done in the past.
