Conlan's Band

I was lookin' at the Organizations information in the rulebook, and specifically was looking at Conlan's Band. Is this organization only available to rangers who are archers?

Would it be possible for a character who is proficient in woodscraft and other such skills, but who is not an archer to join? I would imagine there to be other types of ranger in the world...

Again, just wondering. Thanks for any insight.

All the Organizational Forums have been created... I don't think I missed any. Obviously, once we get players that play characters in the underrepresented Orgs, those forums will show activity.

Greetings all,

I deeply dislike using my authority as Elder of the Realm and moderator of the EZBoards in an overt way. However, that being said, I must report that as I work to fill in the rest of the org-only forums AND updating the Wardens of Dawn forum's list of "allowed users," I have discovered that a number of players have gained access to password protected areas. The security list shows me anyone who has entered the forum.

Organizations and armour restrictions

I need a rule clarification here.....

In many or the knowledge based organizations, they have armour proficiency restrictions, but don't state that they cant wear the armour. In the case of the Mage Plate, an armour proficiency is not needed, but do the org restrictions mean you cant wear it?

I have a pretty good idea what the answer is, but I am curious

"Rule of Archaea: Petitions to Organizations"

To join an Organization of the Realm, player-character must meet the requirements of the group, follow the tenets of the group, submit an approved character history, and make a petition to join or a petition to advance in the group.

Petitions, like character histories, must follow a certain formality. Like all other in-character materials, petitions are treated as in-game...

As you can see, I've created a number of new forums on the EZboard specifically for Organization discussions. The forums are arranged so that like-organizations and primarily allied-organizations are put together.

The forums are password protected and will be open only to players-characters who have petitioned and been accepted by their respective Organization. Players are encouraged to use the forums to discuss in-character and out-of-character issues and topics relating to their...

Ok, so this is odd...

Under the Academy write up, it states that a character in the Academy cannot gain shield proficiency, take armor above 4th or take weapon above crit (essentially).
Um...why?
A) Why no chain weapons? They do light damage (even though they should do more)
B) Not even a small/buckler shield?
C) Armor I get...
D) Seems to me if a mage wants a mortal dagger, why would the Academy stand in his/her way if the person has the money and XP to buy the item...

The Lists area is for discussion out-of-character and out-of-game about the Organizations of the Realm. Players are welcome to ask questions about the organizations, about the petition process, about becoming and Organizational representative in game.

My hopes as the player population grows and representation among the Organizations increases then we will have need to create separate areas for each of the different groups. Those areas will be closed to the general...
